Holiday!

December 27, 2007 - After 2 days of being couped up in the house, we all decided to go out! First up was the Franklin Park Conservatory. I highly recommended it for Toddlers. It's just the right amount of time (2 hours) and there's lots to see.

Here's Grandma, Dad and I in the Rain Forest...

And here's me looking at the Coy Pond...

'Twas the Night Before Christmas

December 24, 2007 - It's ALMOST here!! Grandpa and Grandma came down to greet us and Santa. Here's a few pictures of the exciting evening.

After a nice dinner, we all decorated some cookies:

Ole!

Just before bed, I left Santa some cookies and milk, and we left some carrots for the reindeer:

And Grandpa and Dad had some egg nog. Recognize those glasses from anywhere?

I can't wait to see what Santa brings me!

Happy Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Do you know the Gingerbread Man?

December 18, 2007 - Tonight was the Christmas Concert for my school. Each class went up on stage and sang (or cried) a song. Here's my class:

And here's me. Mom said I was the best singer there!

After our song, I didn't want to get off stage but Ms. Shannon lead me down anyway. I think I'm a natural!

Lips Like Sugar

December 7, 2007 - Tonight, mom and I headed over to Claire and Sarah's house for a cupcake party. After some pizza dinner, we decorated cupcakes. Let me show you how:

Step 1: Have all your materials laid out and ready. Make sure your friends are close too!

Step 2: After having mom ice the perfect pink cupcake, determine your favorite topping. Jelly beans are my choice this evening. Make sure to place each one carefully.

Step 3: Enjoy the perfect cupcake!

Be sure to check out Claire and Sarah's website too for more cupcake pics!

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree...

November 23, 2007 - Here's my instruction manual on how to decorate a tree:

1. Have your daddy put up the tree. Make sure Grandma is there too to hand you the ornaments (that's her head in the foreground).

2. Start putting up the garland. Be sure it's at eye level so you can see all the beads!

3. Hang ornaments and candy canes down low and at a very high density. We don't want the center of gravity on the tree to get too high - we need to keep the ROLLOVER factor to a minimum!! Garland makes an excellent candy cane holder.

4. Grab a good book and enjoy to fruits of your labor!

YUM-O

November 22, 2007 - It's Thanksgiving Day and I'm slaving over a hot stove with Grandma. We're making Pumpkin Pie!

Doesn't it look good?!?

At school , everyone got to say what they were thankful for. I said Daddy and Mommy. Aren't I a sweetie?
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

M-I-C-K-E-Y MOUSE

November 3, 2007 - Today was a special day. Mom and Dad took me to the "Big City" to see Playhouse Disney Live. I got to see my beloved Little Einsteins, Winnie the Pooh and Mickey too. I simply stared in amazement the whole time. Here's the only 2 pictures we took before the ushers yelled at daddy for using the camera:

It was so much fun, I was overwhelemed on the way home!

First, we rode on the Banana Boat! DAY-O!!

Then, we fed some goats.

Next, I went down the big slide:

Daddy, hurry!! Let's go again!

We raced Claire and her dad. Dad, how come we're losing?

And finally, we picked some pumpkins!

Claire's Daddy took all the pumpkins to the car.

I want to ride my bicycle...

September 30, 2007 - Dad is DETERMINED to get me riding a 2-wheeler before our 8-year-old neighber does, so he got me a Like-a-Bike trainer. Notice there are no pedals, you just walk (or glide) it. Dad hopes that soon I'll be bombing down the driveway, across the sidewalk and even riding Alum Creek. He's got a thing for wheeled machines, doesn't he?!?

Listen Like Thieves

September 25, 2007 - No, there's no need to adjust your monitor... Mom was absolutely floored when I brought this home. She even asked the teacher if she had the right McKenna!! What are you trying to say, mom?!?

Let me show you my listening ears:

Welcome to Paradise!

August 3, 2007 - The last week of July found us back in Grand Haven, Mi. This time, we invited everyone - the grandparents, Uncle Jack, Aunt Marie and even Aunt Melissa! We stayed in "grampa's" beautiful beach house.

And I even got my own room (OK, it's a closet but it's still MINE!):

We made sure to get in plenty of beach time:

And some play time for ALL the kids too:

The Coast Guard Festival was in town and we got to see the US Coast Guard Cutter Mackinaw. I got to ring the bell on the Mackinaw but my photographer (GRANDPA!) wasn't around...

Here's a view out the Mackinaw's window into downtown:

A few days later, a Canadian Coast Guard Cutter announced it's presence and we sat on the pier to watch it go by.

We saw our share of beautiful sunsets:

And visited a wooden shoe factory in Holland. Do you think these are too big?

How about these?

All-in-all, it was a blast and I can't wait to go on vacation again soon!
